The Story of Hello Delight
I moved to Chattanooga, TN June 22, 2009 to scratch an itch. I left a successful agency job in NYC where I was working on iconic brands doing fantastic work yet was rather unfulfilled. I was seeking a new agency model where things like meaning and sustainability were selected premium over short-run lifts.
I was looking for a way to be a more accountable partner to building better brands. I was looking for ways to capitalize diversity, useful innovation, participation, and sensible process to be better.
Enter, Hello Delight.
I eat, drink, and breathe strategy. I've been a successful part of building strong brands but the truth is I shouldn't take too much credit for that. Brands are bigger than me and consumers are astute. Sure, I love having my name attached to the award-winning side of things but a misbehaving brand can easily wipe out any equity my strategy was lucky enough to create. Success or failure isn't just up to me.
It's not about building brands differently; it's about building different brands.
